First of all, I came across Blisy’s very helpful doc that records how seeds are generated in any given frame in pokemon FR 1.0 or 1.1 here. I found that in the first/left-most setting, the most common seeds match the most common seeds I was hitting on one of my own settings, which are: 7d6e, c673, f25, 5ad7, 9fad, 43f, 3042, c7b0.. Lately, I’ve seen a few posts where the evidence suggests that the problem lies with trying to use the wrong version of Fire Red. Most hacks use Fire Red 1.0, commonly called the ‘Squirrels’ version. So, let Hibrunel here (Paleomon’s resident squirrel ‘mon) stand as a friendly reminder to seek squirrels when next you need a Fire Red ROM.
