Euromast The Observatory Tower In Rotterdam Where Rooms Might Rock A Little
De Euromast is ter gelegenheid van de Floriade, een tuinbouwtentoonstelling, in 1960 door architect H.A. Maaskant en aannemer J.P. van Eesteren neergezet in Het Park. Floriade. Het gebouw is officieel geopend door prinses Beatrix op 25 maart 1960. De dan 119 meter hoge Euromast wordt letterlijk en figuurlijk het hoogtepunt van de Floriade, waar.. In 2020 bestaat de Euromast 60 jaar en werd de eerste Floriade gehouden. Tijdens Opbouwdag zullen er daarom allerlei activiteiten in en rondom dit rijksmonument plaatsvinden. We hopen dat de film die aannemer Van Eesteren liet maken en aan het Stadsarchief geschonken is door Piet Barendregt, vertoond gaat worden.Maar er is nog meer filmmateriaal.
